Happy New Year!
We hope you and your loved ones enjoyed a joyous and restful Christmas recess filled with wonderful memories. We pray that 2025 brings blessings to us all.
Classes resume tomorrow, January 6th. Students be in in their full, regular winter uniforms.
By now, ALL Pre-K students MUST have their flu vaccine with their record on file with our main office. Pre-K students without the flu vaccine are NOT PERMITTED to enter school as per the NYC DOH.
MAP Testing begins on Wednesday, January 8th, students in grades Kindergarten through 8th will begin the Winter round of Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing. MAP testing provides valuable data to help our teachers tailor instruction to meet the individual needs of each student. The testing window closes on January 24th. Please note that there will be no midterm exams this year.
Friday, January 10th is an early dismissal day for grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. The after-school program will be open as usual. A school mass for the Feast of the Epiphany will be celebrated at 9:00 AM that morning. All families are warmly invited to attend. A small monetary donation for the mass collection would be appreciated.
Monday, January 13th is ADMIT Card Day. Cards will be sent home on Friday, January 10th with your child. To receive an ADMIT Card, your Blackbaud account balance must be current. Your child must present the card upon entering school next Monday. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your tuition balance, please contact our Financial Secretary, Ms. Solis, at (718) 538-5959 ext. 121.
Christ the King School will be closed on Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The second marking period ends on Friday, January 24th. Report cards will be sent home with your children on Friday, January 31st.
Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated from January 27th to 31st. A detailed schedule of events from our CTK Student Council will be sent home later this month.
